EUROPEAN DAY OF ACTION AND SOLIDARITY

European Trade Union Confederation celebrates November 14 as the European Day of Action and Solidarity. The motto of the day is "For new jobs – no for the austerity measures."

Trade Unions of all European countries are invited to join the celebration of the action day. They decide on the way to contribute - with declarations, statements, public support, demonstrations, parades or other activities. Like that, Trade unions will express opposition to austerity measures and will require from national governments improving of the European model of the welfare state.
