PANEL DISCUSSION ON THE ROLE OF THE EXECUTIVE POWER IN OHS

Today in CCM was held panel discussion on the Role of the executive in providing support for the safety and health at work. The panel is part of the ESBOHS Project - European Cooperation Bridges for Occupational Health and Safety, which, with the support of the EU, has been implementing for two years.
CCM President Zivko Mitrevski informed the media that joint activities of CCM, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and the Employers' organization continues in promoting safety and health at work. The system must be improved regardless of the fact that the world is governed by the economic, financial and debt crisis.
ESBOHS Project, within which there were several workshops, seminars, panel discussions with the participation of experts from Finland, Turkey and the UK, provide positive guidance in training, familiarization and implementation of European directives, especially for the 1989 European Framework Directive and ILO conventions.
Minister of Labour and Social Policy Spiro Ristovski said that he is satisfied with the positive report of the EU for Macedonia. One part of the report refers to the progress of social dialogue and collective bargaining. It is proof that Macedonia’s social dialogue is going upwards, which is a positive sign for all the social partners.
