ADJUSTMENT OF THE COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT FOR HEALTH TO THE CREDIT EDUCATION SYSTEM AND HIGHER EDUCATION LAW
We face with problem of integration of certain highly educated categories of staff in the Collective Agreement for health services. These are individuals of first and second cycle of professional studies. In the present Collective Agreement are not provided coefficients of complexity for these staff from the second cycle and our goal is to do that.
This was stressed by the President of the Independent Trade Union of Health, Pharmacy and Social Care, Ljubisa Karanfilovski at today’s meeting of the Trade union, i.e. the Working Group on Higher Education of the Union of Health, with representatives of the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education. The meeting was attended by President of CCM Zivko Mitrevski, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Nikola Jankulovski, the Dean of Faculty of Medicine of Shtip, Nikola Kamcev and the Dean of the High School of Medicine in Bitola Stojna Ristovska.
President Ljubisa Karanfilovski explained that since March 19, 2003 Republic of Macedonia adopted the Bologna system of education that is based on cycles and credit system. The dilemma is for the second cycle of professional studies where titles are being obtained: senior nurses with higher education, physiotherapists, X-ray technicians, lab technicians and others who complete specialization or the second cycle of professional studies.
The issue is where to put these specialized personnel in the the Collective Agreements and workplace descriptions of the public health institutions, explained Karanfilovski who concluded that the Collective Agreement will have to be adjusted to the education system.
