Congratulates the Day of the revolutionary fight of Macedonian people

Letter to Nikola Gruevski, Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia and of  VMRO - DPMNE

Dear Mr. Gruevski,

On behalf of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia and on my personal behalf, please accept our congratulations on the occasion of October 23, the Day of the revolutionary fight of Macedonian people.

For the Macedonian workers and for the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia as their organization, this is an extremely important holiday.

The struggle for national freedom was also a struggle for achieving the long time aspirations of the Macedonian workers about their social and labor rights, and against the ruthless exploitation.

The benefits of the revolutionary struggle are based on labor rights set forth in our highest legal act - the Constitution of the Republic of Macedonia and in other labor laws in the area, containing international labor standards.

Today, Macedonia is a modern democratic and legal state that steps towards economic and social prosperity and European integration. This is confirmed by the continuing success of our state, inter alia, on economic plan, which reflects positively on the material and social position of workers, rising living standards and the general progress of the Republic of Macedonia.
