SECOND YOUTH CAMP OF "SOLIDARITY" WAS HELD

From 25 to 28 June in Neum, Bosnia and Herzegovina, a second camp of the Youth Board of the Regional TU Council "Solidarity" was held. Participants were youth unionists from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia. The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia was represented by five young trade unionists.

The aim of the camp was networking and cooperation of young trade unionists in the region, to increase awareness and action of young and developing ideas for sustainability of the Youth Board.

During the meeting a presentation "Young trade unionists" was held which presented the activities of the Youth Sections of the national and branch TU of the participating unions. Also it was presented the website of the Youth Board. The following topics have been discussed "Introduction speech on EU funds", "Development of applications for project ideas" and "Presentation of project" The meeting was closed with an agreement for future activities. The Foundation "Friedrich Ebert" - Regional Project for Labor and Social Dialogue in South East Europe, Office Belgrade, supports the work of the RCC "Solidarity" and the organization of youth camps.

The first youth camp was held from 18 to 21 July 2012 in Old Pazova, Serbia. During meeting "Resolution on promoting young trade unionists" was adopted.
